I'm Xu Ruolun and undergraduate
My research interests focus on the field of optical measurement, particularly in the application and development of event camera technology. In this area, I am actively participating in related research projects, exploring high-precision imaging techniques of event cameras in dynamic scenes. In terms of technical skills, I have solid experience in embedded development and am familiar with various development platforms and programming languages, enabling me to effectively carry out the collaborative design of hardware and software. Additionally, I have a deep understanding of hardware system design and implementation, allowing me to independently complete all stages from conceptual design to prototype production. I am passionate about applying theoretical knowledge to practical problems and hope to promote innovation and development in optical measurement technology through further research and practice. At the same time, I aspire to engage in in-depth academic exchanges with peers and experts to broaden my horizons and enhance my professional competence.

Orbbec (Image Algorithm Assistant Engineer [Intern])
To address the issues of low efficiency in traditional 3D reconstruction methods that rely on single-point scanning devices, large stitching errors with multiple cameras, and the inability to meet real-time dynamic modeling requirements, a dynamic 3D reconstruction solution based on an array of eight TOF cameras arranged in a 360° ring was proposed. Real-time 3D reconstruction was achieved through multi-source data fusion. My main responsibilities included the calibration and synchronization of the TOF cameras.

HKU Smart Transportation Institute (Robotics Control Algorithm Engineer [Intern])
To address the inspection needs for warehouse fence damage, I designed an autonomous inspection vehicle system based on multi-modal perception. The system integrates the NVIDIA Jetson AGX Orin platform, uses a YOLO-like object detection algorithm for obstacle recognition, combines a VLM for scene semantic segmentation, and employs multi-line LiDAR SLAM for mapping and navigation. I was responsible for system integration, deployment of motion control algorithms, system debugging, and modeling of the vehicle's motion model.。
